Fiddlers Green, North Shields (B&W)

Fiddler's Green stands as a poignant memorial overlooking the River Tyne at North Shields Fish Quay, commemorating fishermen lost at sea. Commissioned by the North Shields Fishermen's Heritage Project, this evocative sculpture was crafted by regional artist Ray Lonsdale following a dedicated fundraising initiative. The memorial's base features a moving inscription referencing the mythical Fiddler's Green—a legendary afterlife haven for fishermen. This distinctive black and white print incorporates selective colour accents for visual impact.
